State Party Election
There are six state party officers: the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, National Committeeman and National Committeewoman.
Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer are elected to two-year terms at the first meeting of the state committee held after the general election (ie, January or February of odd-numbered year).
The National Committeeman and Committeewoman are elected at the first meeting of the state committee in a presidential election year. They serve four-year terms and, regardless of when elected, assume office the day after the National Convention closes.
Congressional District officers are elected to a two-year term during district reorganization meetings held in December or January after a general election. READ MORE
